This is a picture of my Great Great Grand-Father Samuel Warburton Reily, Sr.
He and his wife Mary Charlotte Reily, nee Boatner came to Morehouse Parish 
from East Feliciana Parish in about 1850. They settled in the area known 
as "Gum Swamp," which is now Collinston. After Mary Charlotte died in child 
birth, in 1861, Samuel moved to Bastrop and built a home on the east side of 
Bastrop. The old home still stands at the fork of the Mer Rouge Road and the 
Grabault Road.
