I believe there was an epademic of typhoid fever going around and the little girls 
died from it.   There was also Dr. James Powell's wife (Elizabeth Moss)who was 
born 1821, died in 1857 in Morehouse Parish.  Could you look up if possiable her 
death record.  As well, the same family, Joseph M. Powell Born 1843 in Morehouse 
and died at 18 years, in 1859 in Morehouse Parish.  This decimated  Dr. James 
Powell's family of four children with the last son died in the Civil War.  His 
Name is John T. Powell born in 1839 at Morehouse Parish and died in 1864.  I don't 
know where he was barried.
