Trichel, deputy sheriff of Natchitoches Parish, and a representative of one of the old families of this portion of Louisiana was born in Natchitoches Parish on December 25, 1850, and is a son of Leonard and Zelia (Perot) Trichel. He was the fourth of nine children, and his early impressions were at once directed toward the channels of agricultural pursuits. He received a fair education in the common school, and continued to till the soil until 1882, since which time he has held his present position. He is eminently suited to the position and fills it to the satisfaction of all. His marriage occurred in 1878, to Miss Josephine E. Ballard, who was born in Mississippi in 1859, and the fruits of this union have been three children: Charles M., Clarence E. and Annie C. Mr Trichel is a Free Mason, a member of Phoenix Lodge No. 38, and is also a charter member of Natchitoches Lodge No. 89 K. of P. In politics he affiliates with the Democratic party.
