The Cemetery is on the right hand side of the road The last time I was at this cemetery was in 1987. Upon revisiting it this March 1998, I found that all of the iron crosses are gone except one. They are side by side and look to be infant graves. There is one iron cross. ****The Alexandria Town Talk, May 31, 1931 John L. Pleasant Sr. Services for John L. Pleasant Sr. will be at 1:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Bros., Pineville, with the Revs. Carl Burris, Jo Sharp and Ellis Hines officiating. Burial will be in Galbraith Cemetery, Lena. Pleasant, 77, of Lena died Saturday, May 30, 1998, in Rapides General Hospital. He was a member of Sharp Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a retired painter, and a school bus driver. Survivors include his wife, Avis Hodges Pleasant of Lena; one son, John Pleasant Jr. of Lena; one daughter, Judy Cyphert of Alexandria; two half brothers, Jim Hardee of Alexandria and Lester Hardee of Gulfport, Miss.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
