Lucky Filed for record May 29, 1869 This indenture made and executed into, this the 15th February 1869, between Madison Mobley and his wife, Sarah Mobley of the first part, and George W. Luckey of the second part, all of the Parish of Natchitoches State of Louisiana, Witness that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Thousand dollars lawful money of the United States paid to the parties of the first part by the party of the second part, the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this Day Bargained and sold and by these present doth Bargain and grant, sell and convey to the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever all that tract known as the Mobley Place lying being situated in the Parish of Natchitoches, State of Louisiana and described more particularly to wit: N.E. quarter on the N 1/2 of the S.E. quarter and S.E. quarter of S.E. quarter of S. 8, and S.W. quarter and N.W. quarter of the S.E. quarter and the S 1/2 of the N.W. quarter and the N.W. quarter of the N.W. quarter of S. 9, all in Township 12 range 7, Containing 600acres more or Less, together with all and singular the appertinances and hereditaments, all the Estate title and interest whatever of the parties of the first part therein. It is hereby expressly agreed to and convent that there is a reserve of Land on said tract for a Church, and Graveyard, to wit; where the Ramah Church is now situated innot embraced in this Sale but to be and remain as lands set apart for a Church and Graveyard. It is hereby convenanted by the Parties of the first part, with the party of the second part. that at the time of the Delivery hereof te parties of the first part is the lawfull owner of the above granted & premise, and seized there of in fee simple absolute and that they will warrant and Defend the above granted premises, in the quiet and peaceble possession of the said Party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof we have signed our names, the day and date first above written. In the present of Madison Mobley, Sarah Mobley per her mark, T.H. Hamilton, H.H. Hawthorn. Before me the undersigned authority personally came and appeared S.H. Hawthorn of the Parish of Natchitoches who after having been by me, the first duly sworn, deposed and said he was present and saw the foregoing instrument of writing signed by the parties thereto and for the therein set forth, that he now recognize his own signature as attesting witness and that of his own signature as attesting witness and that of T.H.
