ROBELINE WOMAN HONORED WITH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Members of the Natchitoches Genealogical and Historical Association celebrated the 90th birthday of Elizabeth Russell with lunch at Just Friends. Mayor Joe Sampite' presented Mrs. Russell with the Mayor's Award and Robeline Mayor Tommy O'Con presented her with a plaque declaring Wednesday, December 1 as Elizabeth Russell Day in her hometown of Robeline. On behalf of the Woodmen of the World, Ted Tobin presented Russell with a desk set of the American flag and the Louisiana flag. The group enjoyed birthday cake donated by Just Friends. Attending the celebration were Sybil Rhodes, Adele Scott, Selma Cusseaux, Susie Gunter, Diane Gunter, Fern and Raymond Christensen, Harold Russell, Bettye and Charles Huggins, Shirley and Robert Porter, Marjorie Watkins, Juanita and Arnold Kilpatrick, Tommy O'Con, Juanita Wall, Joe Sampite', Jay Dunahoe, Ginny Tobin, Christelle Thomisee, Dorothy Benefield and Bob Knipmeyer.
