The bank is in a flourishing condition, showing the net earnings for the year 1912 something over 18 per cent on the capital stock. Deposits are over $72,000.00 being larger than any bank has ever had here. A 10 per cent dividend was declared and all other profits put to surplus funds. The citizens bank has been in existence only 24 months and it bids fair to the leading bank in this section. Mr. T.K. Giddens, who has been president during this time did not wish re- election owing to his vast personal business as he felt unable to give the bank the time he wished. He has made an able and efficient president and has left nothing undone to make a success of the Citizens Bank and his resignation was regretfully received. The following officers were elected: L.E. Thomas of Shreveport, President: I. Raphiel Vice President; C.E. Redhimer, Cashier; L.E. Thomas, M.M. Fischer, T.K. Giddens, F.G. Gallaspy, C.E. Redhimer, J.R. Weaver, W.H. Huchabay, and I. Raphiel, Directors Dec 10, 1912
