E. Hudson has returned after a short visit to his home in Tenn. And reports a nice time. Mr. M. J. Weaver who has been sick for the past week is still ill but it is hoped he will soon recover. Misses Sallie and Jessie Williams, Miss Ida Brown and Mr. Richard Stewart were the guests of Miss Cliffie Oliver Sunday evening Miss Ida Brown and Misses Sallie and Jessie Williams enjoyed a horseback ride Sunday evening. Mr. Richard Stewart made a flying trip home Monday. The young people of Creston enjoyed a pleasant evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Brown on Thursday. The refreshments served were cake, ice cream and fruit. Those present were Misses Sallie and Jessie Williams, Maggie and Ida Brown, Cliffie Oliver, Messrs. Loney Perot, Pearl Auston, Willie Childers, Jim Mace, Richard Stewart, Cliff Garrett, George Smith, Earl Perot, Jodie Brown and Elmer Oliver. "Uncle Zeak" Philyew is on the sick list this week. Miss Ida Brown after spending a few weeks with her brother W. C. Brown will return to her home near Grappes Bluff Thursday. Mrs. J. O. Williams and her two daughters Sallie and Jessie and Cliffie Oliver are expecting to spend the Fourth in Natchitoches. The farmers around here are wearing smiles after a nice rain Monday. Miss Edna Hammett has returned to Creston after a few days visit home
