Miss Sara Cox visited Mrs. Annie Berry of West Natchitoches this week. Quite a few of Oak Grove folks went to the graveyard working at old Pine Grove. Mr. Barney Wilkerson, Frank Miller and Bob Sibley of the Hagewood were visitors to our church on Sunday. Mr. T.W. Cox visited Mr. Will Miller of Robeline Sunday. Singing was enjoyed by a crowd of young folks at Mrs. Ada Lofton's. Mr. and Mrs. Coleman enjoyed a visit from friends of Shreveport. We have a new organ at our church. Singing every Sunday evening. Everybody invited. "CUPID" =========================================================================== OAK GROVE NEWS - OCT 22, 1920 The Natchitoches Times Our school is progressing nicely with the total enrollment of 46 pupils. Our teachers are Miss Eula Pullin of Chestnut, Principal and Mrs. Louis Tatum of Gibsland, assistant. Mrs. Dave Price who is working for the L & N W visited his mother, Mrs. Austin, last week. Miss Beatrice Stewart is spending this week with her sister, Mrs. Mattie Graham at Creston. Miss Annie Lee Chestnut, who is attending Ashland High School, spent last week end with her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Chestnut. Miss Eula Pullin spent last week end with home folks at Chestnut. Everyone enjoyed the meeting held by Brother Crockrell an Advent Christian Preacher. He received five members. Mrs. Sam Weaver and children of Ashland spent Sunday with Mrs. E.C. Wheeler. The little boys are organizing a basketball team and are very anxious to begin playing. Mrs. T.J. Stewart of Chestnut spent Tuesday with her sister, Mrs. E.C. Wheeler. Best wishes to the Times.
