All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** VOWELLS MILL by Mrs. Arthur Foshee The Natchitoches Times January 21, 1965 Another freeze here last weekend has made the tender growth of grass that was so pretty look bad and looks like cow feeding will have to continue for quite a while Mrs. Phanor Honeycutt, member of Vowells Mill Home Demonstration Club, and Mrs. Willie Ethel Boydstun, the agent, got together Thursday of last week and planned landscaping for Mrs. Honeycutt's new home. The club is encouraging a clean up campaign and humbly asks everyone in the community for their co operation. Heulan Clark is the new owner of a 1960 Oldsmobile. Mr. and Mrs. Leaman Foshee celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary Jan 17. Charles Honeycutt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phanor Honeycutt, celebrated a birthday Jan 17 and Tom Lee, Jan 14. Mr. and Mrs. Asa Singletary had their sons, Robert and Cleveland, home last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Donnel Honeycutt and family of Shreveport were home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Honeycutt, and Sherman visited his aunt, Mrs. Fred McClory, who has not been doing well. Mr. and Mrs. Wuell Forshee and family of Raceland were weekend guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Foshee. He also visited the Eric Miller family and Mr. and Mrs. Mason Foshee. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Rachal and children went to Shreveport Sunday and visited Bro. Randall Jordan, who is a patient in Doctors Hospital since being shot in the head for more than a week now, and reported that he is slowly improving. The Rachals were Sunday night guests of the Arthur Foshee family
