BELL The Natchitoches Times January 7, 1965 Last Rites Held For R. H. Bell Funeral services for Robert Hugh Bell Sr., 79, were held Sunday at 2 PM in the Chapel of First National Funeral Home with Dr. Jolly B. Harper, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Interment, under the direction of James Coco, was in Memory Lawn Cemetery, following Masonic graveside services. Mr. Bell was killed by a blast from his own shotgun Friday, Jan 1 about 11:30 am while hunting along the Waterwell Road about seven miles south of Natchitoches. He resided at 1513 West Court Drive and was a retired Interstate Oil Pipeline Co. Employee. Mr. Bell was a member of Simcoe Walmsley Masonic Lodge No. 359 of Flora, and a member of Natchitoches Parish School Board from July 6, 1944 to December 2, 1946. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jack N. Ford of West Point, Miss; tow sons, Glen A. Bell of Sunset, and Robert H. Bell Jr. of Liberty, Miss; one sister, Mrs. Ida Dickerson of Austin Tex; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were A. J. Hargis, Felix Scroggins, J. R. Weaver, Albert L. Leroy, Plinnie Adkins, and Harrison O'Bannion.
