H. Carpenter Rites Held At Goldonna

Henry Carpenter, 71, of Goldonna, died Thursday, December 3, 1970, in the
Veterans Administration hospital in Dallas, Tex., after a long illness.  He
was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Orville Carpenter of Goldonna; one daughter,
Mrs. Elaine Wishcham of Shreveport; one brother, Forrest Carpenter of Winston,
Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Unity Portman of Shreveport, and three
grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Goldonna Baptist Church
with Rev. Kit Hathorn officiating.  Burial was in Goldonna Cemetery under
direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
