Clark, aged 81 years 8 months and 16 days, relict of Thomas E. Clark. Deceased was a native of Shelby county, Georgia. The family moved to Texas in 1861 and subsequently to Louisiana in 1873, residing in Bossier parish, where T.E. Clark died thirty-two years ago near Benton. Mrs. E.S. Clark has been a consistent member of the Baptist church for the past sisty years. Her husband, T.E. Clartk, was a descendant of the Clarks who belonged to the early American pioneers who settled in this country and aided in founding Jamestown, Va. Members of the family have been participant ine every was of this country and wer among the staunch defenders of the southern cause. Mrs. E.S. Clark was a woman of sterling virtues, determined will, great entergy and as christian wife adn mother, set a shining example of usefulness and lofty charity. She was widely known, highly respected and greatly beloved by those who knew her best. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. R.A. Bell of Waskom, Texas; Mrs. Sue Burnett of Roy City, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. E.E. Pouncey of Provencal, Louisiana; four sons, J.T. Clark, W.W. Clark, J.C. Clark and E.W. Clark, residing near here, numerous grand adn great grandchildren and other relatives to sorrow over her death. She has fallen asleep as on who lies down to pleasant dreams. Her four score years of human usefulness found a happy fruitation in a christian faith. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord =for they shall find eternal rest and peace. The interment took place in the family burial ground here and was numerously attended. Additional Comments:
