Surviving relatives include her husband, John Cook of Robeline, two daughters, Mrs. Needham Tidwell of Many, and Miss Nancy Jane Cook of Robeline; four brothers, Emmett Powell of Robeline, Walter Powell of Florien, Floyd Powell of Mansfield, and Allison Powell of Coushatta; two sisters, Mrs. N. D. Leach of Coushatta, and Mrs. W. J. Bullock of Natchitoches; and one grandchild. Funeral services were held in the Robeline First Baptist Church April 7, with the Rev. Coda Salter, the Rev. Oliver Roberta, and the Rev. Walter Ledford. Burial was in the Springridge Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
