Mr. Cooper was a native of Georgetown. He was a pharmacist and owner of the Cooper's Drug Store in Robeline. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 21, in the Robeline Baptist Church, with the Rev. W. R. Ledford officiating, assisted by the Rev. Wilber Birdwell. Burial was in the Robeline Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard's Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Survivors are his widow; a son Norman O. Cooper of Crestview, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Sue Barnette of Leesville; two brothers, Herman Cooper of Forest City, Ark.; and Robert Cooper of Robeline; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Sibley of Robeline, and Mrs. Mary Page of Natchitoches; and eight grandchildren.
