Last Rites Held For J. G. Corley

Funeral services for J. G. Corley, 68, were held Sunday at 2pm in Mt. Carmel
Baptist church near Many, with the Rev. Earl Marr and the Rev. Carl Tubbs
officiating.  Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Corley, who made his home here with his brother and sister in law, Mr. and
Mrs. B. Corley, died at Natchitoches Parish Hospital Friday, Jan. 15,
following an illness of several weeks.

He was associated with an insurance company in Houston, Tex. After retiring as
principal of Mt. Carmel High School.

He is also survived by three other brothers, the Rev. O. M. Corley of Fort
Worth, Tex., Luther Corley of Mt. Carmel, and Rufus Corley of Florien; an two
sisters, Mrs. C. A. Jones of Patterson, and Mrs. Othal Miller of Florien.
