Robert D. Darnell

  Robert Dewey Darnell, 71, of Natchitoches, died suddenly, Tuesday, Jan. 19.

  He was a retired banker, and formerly of Pleasant Hill.

  Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 21, at 2:30 p.m. in the Pleasant
Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Hudnall officiating. Burial was in
the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of
Mansfield.

  He is survived by his widow; his mother, Mrs. C. B. Darnell of Natchitoches;
three brothers, J. W. Darnell of Clinton, Okla., E. F. Darnell of Natchitoches,
James Darnell of Robeline; five sisters, Mrs. L. C. Miller of Shreveport, Mrs.
Sam James of Natchitoches, Mrs. L. B. Skinner of Many, Mrs. R. T. Roberts of
pasadena, Tex., Mrs. W. R. Cash of Clayton, Ala.
