MILDRED DOWDEN
The Alexandria Town Talk, May 31, 1998

NATCHITOCHES - Services for Mildred Dowden will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the
chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis with the Rev. Brian Chelette officiating. Burial
will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Dowden, 72, of Natchitoches died Friday, May 29, 1998, in Evangeline of
Natchitoches Nursing Home.

She was a member of New Life Evangelism Center.

Survivors include six sons, James Eugene Dowden of Porter, Texas, Chester Gwen
Dowden of Fresno, Calif., Randy Dean Dowden of Garland, Texas, Ralph Wade
Dowden, Michael Ray Dowden and Randall Glen Dowden, all of Natchitoches; three
daughters, Golda Jean Young of Oak Grove, Winston Elaine Lumpkin of
Natchitoches and Linda Sue Mason of Vacaville, Calif.; five sisters, Doris
Alewine of Houston, Texas, Renee Tyson of Goodwill, Jean Freeman of Robeline,
Annie Armstrong and Margie Woodson, both of Bastrop; three brothers, Roy Geter
of Monroe, Thad "Bubba" Geter of Biloxi, Miss., and Charlie Geter of Goodwill;
24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Darrel Dowden, Joseph Dowden, Jamie Young, Michael Jesse
Dowden, Mark Lumpkin and Randy Dowden Jr..

Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of services
Monday in the funeral home.
