Dyess, 87, of Robeline, died Sunday, Feb. 25, as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m., at the Spring Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Crocker officiating. Interment was in the Spring Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors are three sons, H. Z. Dyess of Many, Jewel Dyess of Pleasant Hill, and Marvin L. Dyess of Shreveport; four daughters, Mrs. Ola Mae Cobbs of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Ruby Lee Campbell of Alexandria, Mrs. Margaret Cox of Pleasant Hill, and Mrs. Eldred Irby of Robeline; two sisters, Mrs. S. H. Lofton of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Beatrice Graves of Pleasant Hill; 19 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Virgal Barnhill, Kenneth Terrell, Richard Anderson, Jimmy Gates, Huey Harper, and Charles E. Dyess.
