Haley, 78, of Provencal, died in a Natchitoches hospital Saturday, March 20, after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, Mar. 21, at 2 p.m., in the Provencal Pentecost Church, with the Rev. Bobby Stanley, and the Rev. David Ates officiating. Burial was in the Provencal Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Surviving relatives are five sons; W. F. Haley, and Lyndel Haley of Pasadena, Tex., Howard Haley of Provencal, Hershel Haley of Shreveport, and Basil Haley of Lake Charles; four daughters, Ona Mae Lindsey of Provencal, Reba Traxler of Winsboro, Ester Bayless of Bellwood, and Melba Free of Natchitoches; two brothers, Joe Leggett of Natchitoches, and Charlie Legget of Jena, 39 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
