Visitation will be held at Osborn Funeral Home in Shreveport beginning at 5 pm Wednesday, Feb. 4. A vigil service will follow at 7pm with Mosignor Carson LaCaze. Visitation will be held at Blachard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches from 8-9:30 am Thursday, Feb. 5. Furneral services will begin at 10 am at the Church of The Immaculate Conception. Interment will follw at Memory Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Harrison was a native of Bermuda and a resident of Shreveport for 16 years. She was filled with faith in Jesus Christ and touched everyone with her love. She was a dedicated first grade teacher at Turner Elementary in Shreveport. She also taught at Friendship Academy, Holy rosary School and St. John's Elementary School. She was an active member of the Louisiana Teachers Federation and Turner Elementary PTA. As an honors graduate of Northwestern State University, she received her degree in elementary education and physical education and was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, Pi Kappa Phi Little Sister and a charter member of NSU Pom Pom line. Mrs. Harrison is survived by her husband, Johnny Payne Harrison of Shreveport; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Baten Jr. of Bermuda; a sister, Mrs. Becky Vead and her husband, Larry of Natchitoches; a brother Johnny Batten III of Natchitoches; aunts, Miss Daisy M. Prudhomme of Bermuda and Mrs. Gwen B. Lott of Natchitoches; a special aunt, Lil and her husband, Dr. Bill Thornhill, of Myrtle Beach, SC; two nieces, Megan Elizabeth Harrison and Lindsay Alexis Vead, and three nephews, Ryan, Devin and Brandon Chase Harrison Also surviving are her parents in law, Thomas and Marion Harrison of Montgomery; brother in law, Ronny Harriosn, and wife Kathy, of Montgomery, and Don Harriosn and wife, Liz, of Carrollton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her brother in law, Dr. Tommy Ray in 1993. Pallbearers will be Randy Rabalais, Kevin Murphy, Lon Dell Bell, Steve Moran, Steve Verzwyvelt and David Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Batten III, Larry Vead, Ronny Harriosn and Don Harrison.
