Elbert Lee Howell

  Elbert Lee Howell, 52, died on December 4, at Vowels Mill, after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held on December 5, at 2 p.m., in the New Cedren Baptist Church,
with the Rev. Bill Nassier officiating. Burial was in the Becky Murray Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors include his father, Charlie Howell of Vowels Mill; two sons, Jimmy and Roger
Howell, both of Natchitoches; four brothers, Johnson, and J. L. Howell of Vowels Mill,
Jesse Howell of Houston, and Ernest Howell of Blooming, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Mae
Parker, and Mrs. Bud Craig of Vowels Mill, Mrs. Joyce Howell, and Mrs. Bernice Chism
of Houston, and three grandchildren.
