Jones, 60, of Provencal, died Sept. 5, at 9:15 a.m., after a short illness. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m., in the Provecal Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. His body will be taken to Provencal United Pentecost Church, Thursday, to lie in state until service time Friday. Surviving relatives are his father, Tom Jones, Waskam, Tex.; three brothers, Charles W. Jones of El Paso, Earl L. and Byron E. Jones, both of Birmingham; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Mobley, Birmingham, and Mrs. Opal L. Lee of Chicago; one step-son, Travis Nugen; four step-daughters, Mrs. Jewell F. Byrd of Coco Beach, Fla., Mrs. Carmel Santi of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Dale Hillman of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Trois Williams of Pico Piyera, Calif., and 10 step-grandchildren.
