EDWARD EVERETTE JORDAN The Natchitoches Times January 21, 1965 Last Rites Held For Dr. Jordan Funeral services for Dr. Edward Everette Jordan, 79, were held Sunday, Jan. 10 in Robeline Methodist Church with the Rev. Oliver Prothro officiating. He was assisted byl Kenneth Durand. Interment was in Robeline Cemetery following Masonic graveside services. Blanchard's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Dr. Jordan died at Natchitoches Parish Hospital Saturday, Jan 9, after a lengthy illness. He attended Tulane University Medical School and graduated fromt he University of Tennessee. He practiced medicine in and around Robeline for 58 years. He was a Thirty Second Degree Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the Methodist Church. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ruby Dee Burson Jordan; two sons, Lt. Col. Edward Eugene Jordan of Fort Benning, Ga. And Neil Jordan of Beaumont, Tex.; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth J. Hibbs of New Orleans; and four grandchildren. Acitve pallbearers ere Glenn Flenniken, Jack Bell, A. J. Smith, Pat Freman, Jewell Dillard, Ray H. Allen, Euel Dillard and Harry Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Lucian Cobb, Fred Cutrer, Henry Mitchell, Robert H. Welch, John T. Welch, F. U. McCartney, T. I. Fife, J. V. Winn, Jesse Campbell, N. B. Morrison, Dr. R. R. Sills, Curtis Dufour, J. H. Baumgarten, members of Robeline Masonic Lodge No. 344 and all Masonic lodges in surrounding communities.
