Key 19 Jan 1934 - After a long illness, J. J. Key, age 72, died at his home in Kisatchie Wednesday night and will be interred at Kisatchie cemetery Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Mr. Key had spent his life in Natchitoches and Sabine parishes, where he was well known as a most substantial and progressive citizen, prosperous farmer and kind neighbor. Deceased is survived by his widow and the following children: Eddie Key of Vernon parish; Billy Key of Zwolle; Miles Key of Alexandria; Caleb Key of Robeline, Prof. Almon Key of Plainview, Adam Key of Many, Dennie Key, Mrs. Henry Funderburk, Mrs. Cris Funderburk, and Mrs. B. Boody of Kisatchie. He is also survived by a brother, M. C. Key of Provencal, and a sister, Mrs. I. J. Dowden.
