CHESTER MARTIN SR.

Services for Chester Martin Sr. will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of
Blanchard-St. Denis with the Revs. Dwight St. Andre and Greg Rester
officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery.
Martin, 85, of Natchitoches died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, in Natchitoches
Parish Hospital.

He was a native of Mora and a retired school bus driver with 37 years service
with the Natchitoches Parish School Board. He was the former president of
Natchitoches Parish Bus Drivers' Association, a member of Trinity Baptist
Church and a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Spurgeon Renz Martin of Natchitoches; four
sons, Chester Martin Jr. of Eugene, Ore., Dennis Martin of Breckenridge, Colo
., Dexter Martin of Natchitoches, and Jim Renz of Haughton; one sister, Doris
Ward of Redding, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
