John McCartney

  John McCartney, 74, of Marthaville, died Sept. 2, in a Natchitoches Parish hospital.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sept. 3, in the Beulah Methodist Church, with the
Rev. Homer Bailes officiating. Burial was in the Beulah Cemetery under the direction of
Blanchard Funeral Home.

  Survivors include two sons, A. J. McCartney of Winnfield, and Cullen McCartney of
Houston, Tex.; four daughters, Miss Gladys McCartney, Mrs. Eugene Pourciau, Mrs. Sadie
Pourciau, and Mrs. Sidney Droughan, all of Baton Rouge; two brothers, G. L. McCartney,
and Keller McCartney, both of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. W. W. Youngblood of
Marthaville, Mrs. Clyde Nabors of Zwolle, and Mrs. Glayds Pearson of Shreveport; 10
grandchildren.
