Roberta Monette 

ISLE BRFVILLE - Services for Roberta "Mama Bert" Monette will be at 10 a.m. 
Saturday in St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Victor Veade 
officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. 
Victor Veade officiating. Entombment was in St. Augustine Mausoleum under 
direction of Blanchard-St. Denis, Natchitoches. 

Mrs. Monette, 80, of Melrose died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in Grace Home, 
Shreveport. 

She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, 
Quilting Club, St. Augustine Prayer Group and Bible Study Group. She was a 
homemaker. 

Survivors include her husband, Neal Monette Sr. of Melrose; five sons, Joseph 
Severin of Chicago, Ill., Alvin Severin of Seoul, Korea, Willie "Brother" 
Monette of Albuquerque, N.M., Neal Monette Jr. of Cane River and Gerald 
"Dick" Monette of Greenwood; three daughters, Patricia Lacour and Geraldine 
Christophe, both of Greenwood, and Gussie Sers of New York, N.Y.; 24 
grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren. 

Pallbearers "I be Joseph Severin, Willie T. Monette, Chuckie Moran, Emory 
Jones, Robert Boyd and Ernest LeMelle. 

A rosary service will begin at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home. 

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today and from 8-9 a.m. Saturday in the 
funeral home.
