Natchitoches Times Oct 2, 1914

Dead
Died at the Schumperts Sanatarium, Shreveport at 12:30 o'clock, Sept 28, 1914,
Mrs. J. C. Monroe.
The remains were brought here and laid to rest in the American Cemetery on
Tuesday morning.  A large concourse of sorrowing friends attending.
The deceased is survived by her husband, three children and many other
relatives to whom the times extend great sympathy.
