All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Natchitoches Times December 20, 2001 issue BETTY CLYDE AMMONS Services for Betty Clyde Ammons, 72, of Natchitoches were held Thursday, December 20, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Old Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Dyess officiating. Burial was in Old Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Ammons died Tuesday, December 18, 2001 in Willis Knighton-Pierremont Medical Center at Shreveport. She was a native of Houston, Texas, a homemaker and a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Natchitoches. Survivors include her husband, John M. Ammons; two sons, Johnny Mitchell Ammons and his wife, Marian, and James Owen Ammons and his wife, Paula, all of Natchitoches; three daughters, Jerrie Lynn Choate and her husband, Dennis, of Mansfield, Sallie Ann Jones and her husband, Kevin, of Calhoun and Kristi Jeane Oldemeyer and her husband, Mike, of Natchitoches; eight grandchildren, Joy Lynette Ammons, Jamie Louise Ammons, Jessica Lynnedale Choate, Dennis Dale Choate II, Darrel Jeremy Jones, Kevin Matthew Jones, James Christopher Oldemeyer; and two step-grandchildren, Jamie Rond and Jessica Rond. Pallbearers will be Wait Salter, Rodney Ammons, Bubba Ammons, Glenn Ammons, Wayne Ammons and Scott Grimes. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons. A miracle was witnessed, a journey continued due to family, friends, medical staffs and prayers. For this the family would like to extend a special thanks to not only all of Betty's friends but to Red River Hospice of Natchitoches, Dr. Daniel Moller, Dr. Robert Long, Seventh Floor nursing staff and the ICU of Willis Knighton-Pierremont Medical Center of Shreveport. This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Memorials may be made to the building and growth fund of Old Bethel Baptist Church or to Red River Hospice of Natchitoches.
