Lindle Stewart officiating. Burial was in Zion Baptist Cemetery at Fairview Alpha under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Saylor died Saturday, May 26, 2001 in Natchitoches Parish Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Campti. She was a retired bookkeeper for Valley Electric Membership Co-op and was a member of Campti Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Mrs. Annie Mae Walker of Clarence; two nieces, Myra Cooligan of Arlington, Texas and Charlotte Poole of Natchitoches; eight nephews, Mickey Walker of Haughton, Bennie Walker and Bobby Walker both of Elgin, Texas, Barry Walker of Natchitoches, Carmen Walker of Keatchie, Johnny Walker of Monroe, James Roy Walker of Austin, Texas and Cecil Walker of Clarence; and several great nieces and nephews. May 26, 2001 issue GERTRUDE PHARIS BUSH Graveside memorial services for Gertrude Pharis Bush, 91, of Sacramento, Calif., will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2001 in Memory Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Bates officiating under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Bush died May 16, 2000 in Sacramento, Calif. She was a native of Natchitoches and a long time resident of Sacramento. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norvelle J. Bush; her parents, Eluah Pharis and Rose Strickland Bush; two sisters, her twin sister Grace Pharis Himel and Bridie Pharis Godman; her brother, Randolph Pharis; and her nephew, Scott Pharis. Survivors include one daughter, Bethany Anne (Betty) Bush of Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Ruth Pharis Tauzin of Azalea Estates Retirement Center in Shreveport; two sisters-in-law, Lyndol Bostick Pharis of Natchitoches and Alma Pharis of Coushatta; one brother-in-law, Bill Godman; two nephews, Joseph C. Tauzin Jr. of Bossier City and Steve Pharis of Houston, Texas; and many great nieces and nephews. LOUIE ADELE DOVE DURR Funeral services for Louie Adele Dove Durr, 87, of Coushatta will be Thursday, May 17, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. The Rev. Wiley Cole will officiate, and burial will be in Ajax Cemetery in Ajax. Mrs. Durr passed away Monday, May 14, 2001, in Ringgold Nursing Home in Ringgold. She was a native of Ajax. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church near Coushatta. She is survived by one son, Herbert Alton Durr of Coushatta; two daughters, Mildred Adele Cribbs of Sioux City, Iowa, and Helen Aline Tibbets of Brownwood, Texas; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sers passed away Thursday, May 24, 2001 in Natchitoches Parish Hospital. James Poole presiding. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Pineville with the Rev. Henry C. Blunt Jr. presiding. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Harper joined her beloved husband, the late Rev. Jolly B. Harper, in our Heavenly Father's Kingdom on May 9, 2001, after a short illness. The Rev. and Mrs. Harper spent their adult lives ministering to the Methodist church and people from all walks of life throughout the state of Louisiana. They were both natives of Pineville. Mrs. Harper is survived by a brother, Albert Moore, and his wife, Shirley, of Pineville; a sister-in-law, Hazel Moore, of Carrollton, Texas; a daughter, Evelyn Callia, of Baton Rouge; a son, Ross Harper, and his wife, Betty, of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Beneen Shaw, Bryan Callia and his wife, Debbie, all of Natchitoches, Jolly Joe Harper and his wife, Tami, of Clarksville, Tenn., Mike Callia and his wife, Pam, of New Braunfels, Texas, Leigh Ann Harper of Huntsville, Ala., and Barbara Shires and her husband, Kevin, of Ashburn, Va.; and great-grandchildren, Corey and Mayghen Shaw, Hunter and Melissa Callia, Kalyn and Samuel Callia, and Trevor and Abigail Shires. Pallbearers will be Mike Callia, Bryan Callia, Jolly Joe Harper, Corey Shaw, Hunter Callia and Trevor Shires.
