PIERCE April 2, 1970 Winn Parish Enterprise-News American Services Held In Goldonna For D. Q. Pierce Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday for D. Q. Pierce of Goldonna, forestry worker with the Winn Ranger District of Kisatchie National Forest, who died of an apparent heart attack at 7:30 p.m. Monday on La. 156 near Goldonna. Pierce, 64, was found on the highway by Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Department officials. Services were held at the Goldonna Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. W. L. Fussell, assisted by the Rev. Kit Hawthorne. Burial was in Sanders Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield. Pierce is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ineva Pierce, Goldonna; two sons, William Robert and Earl James Pierce, both of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Florence Baker and mrs. Adell Durbin, both of Goldonna; two brothers, Oliver and L. E. Pierce, both of Goldonna; a sister, Mrs. Rhodie Smith, Dodson, and 10 grandchildren.
