Samuel H. Roe

  Samuel Henry Roe, 88, of Robeline, died in Natchitoches Oct. 5, after a long illness.

  Funeral services were held 3 p.m., Oct. 7, in the Marthaville Baptist Church, with the
Rev. O. H. Prothro, and the Rev. Clarence Berly officiating.

  Burial was in Marthaville Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his widow; eight children, Mrs. Velma Settle of Marthaville, Mrs. Verda
Blue of Haughton, Robert W. Roe of Robeline, Mrs. Lucille Wells of Pleasant Hill, Mrs.
Myrtle Freeman of Marthaville, Mrs. Violet Chele of Hunterford, Tex., Mrs. Elizabeth Wallis,
and Mrs. Jo Ann Wallis of Shreveport; 26 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
