All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ======================================================================= STERLING BROWN SCOTT Natchitoches Time, Aug 5, 1914 Died on Saturday August 1, at 6:25 o'clock p.m., Sterling Brown Scott aged 19 years. Mr. Scott who was the brother of Oscar M. Scott and Gillford Scott had only recently come to this city to stay with his brothers and up until a week before his untimely death was at work daily. The deceased was energetic and affordable and gained the esteem and confidence of those with whom he came in contact. His illness was of short duration, despite the fact he had the skills and attention of three doctors and two trained nurses and the loving care of three brothers, he succumbed to the grim reaper. He leaves an aged father and several brothers, and many other relatives to morn his loss. The remains were taken to Winchester Tn, his fathers home for interment. Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Scott, M. M., D.C. and M. T. Scott of Plain Dealing accompanied them.
