Mrs. Shaw, 91, of Natchitoches died May 7, 1990 at 2:35 p.m. Sunday in Natchitoches parish Hospital Long-Term Care Unit. She was a Dry Prong native and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Herschal Shaw of Negreet and Bill Shaw of Natchitoches; four daughters, Kayla Brossett of Houston, Texas, Rita Walters of Lake Charles, and Ruby Neighbors and Marie Dunn, both of Natchitoches; two sisters Macie Welch and Velma Monroe, both of Dry Prong; four brothers, Alton E. Slayter of Shreveport, William Slayter of Kilgore, Texas, Curtis Slayter of New London, Texas and Harold Slayter of Tioga; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
