Services were held in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m., with the Reverends R. H. Dressler, and L. E. Malone officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Surviving relatives include seven sons; Cliford of Jal, N. M., Lawrence of Kermit, Tex., Clovis of Blanchard, Milton of Baton Rouge, Herman of Robeline, Obie of S. Carolina, and Prentis, who is in the U. S. Army at Ft. Sill, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Lee Durr of Jennings, Mrs. Laura McFerrin, Robeline, and Mrs. Irene Reese of Shreveport; three brothers, Cleve, Clarence, and Claud Stewart of Florien; 49 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren.
