TAUZIN Natchitoches Time Feb 03, 1908 Well Known Planter Dead E. F. Tauzin, the well known planter who resides at Grand Ecore, four miles from here, died Monday, December 30th at his home. Deceased was universally known in this parish were he has resided all his life. Services were held in the Catholic Church in the city at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery to which place they were escorted by a large circle of mourning friends and relatives. The immediate cause of the death of Mr. Tauzin is a relapse of the measles. His recovery was deemed certain but when the symptoms reappeared it was seen that he was doomed and death came to his relief at the time stated. Deceased leaves a widow and five children to mourn his untimely loss. It is useless to offer those sorrowing ones consolation in this hour of sorrow. But the sympathy of the people of the parish is manifest. The family looses (sic) a kind husband and father and Natchitoches Parish a worthy citizen and a true friend.
