TEAGLE March 14, 1940 Winn Parish Enterprise Death Claims Dr. O. C. Teagle, Native of Winn Funeral Services Were Held At Campti Sunday Afternoon Dr. O. C. Teagle, a native of Winn Parish, died at his home in Campti, La., March 9, 1940, at 3:30 p. m. and was buried in the American Cemetery, Natchitoches, Sunday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor of First Baptist church, who was assisted by the Rev. Paul Morgan of Campti. Acting as pallbearers were Albert Raphiel, Jake Leiber, W. R. Horton, Nox Little, Cameron Dawson, John Nelms, J. E. Britt, and Dr. J. N. Brown. Dr. Teagle was born in Winn Parish, July 31, 1868, the second son of the late J. G. Teagle and Martha Bolton Teagle, being 71 years, 7 months, and 9 days of age at the time of his death. He received his early education in the schools of this parish where he taught for a number of years. He graduated from the Medical College of Memphis, Tenn., in the year 1902 and was actively engaged in the practice of medicine until his death. Dr. Teagle was married to Miss Pearl Raphiel of Campti, La., in February, 1904, and to this union were born two sons, both of whom survive. Dr. Teagle practiced at Clarence, La., and for the past 15 years in Campti, where he served a large clientele. The usefulness of his life was attested to by the beautiful floral offering from his friends, both colored and white. Surviving are his widow and two sons, O. C. Teagle, Jr., and Raphiel Teagle, and a grandson, Clarence, of Campti; and three sisters, Misses Katie and Helen Teagle and Mrs. W. R. Horton of Winnfield.
