Mrs. Luna Thompson

  Mrs. Luna Austin Thompson, 68, of Pleasant Hill died Feb 24 of a
gun shot wound.

  Surviving relatives include her husband, Raymond Thompson of
Pleasant Hill; a son, David C. Austin of Shreveport; a daughter,
Mrs. B. J. Weeks of Lufkin, Tex.; two brothers, George Farmer of
Marthaville, and Curtis Farmer of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Mrs.
J. B. Melton of Shreveport, and Mrs. Ella Russell of Mansfield; 11
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held in the Marthaville First Baptist Church,
Feb 26, with the Rev. Mrs. Ruby Dixon officiating. Burial was in
Marthaville Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home of Many. Pallbearers were Mark Middleton, Rodney Gandy, Pat
Farmer, Jimmy Farmer, and Eddie Farmer.
