WINN Alexandria Town Talk, May 16, 1998 Services for Francis G. Winn will be at 10 a.m. Sunday in the chapel of Hixson Bros., Pineville, with the Revs. Grady Welch and Jerry Arthur officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Central Baptist Church Cemetery, Robeline. Winn, 70, of Pineville died Thursday, May 14, 1998, in Lexington House. He was retired from Dresser Industries as credit manager. He was a Marine Corps veteran serving in World War II where his unit received the Naval Unit Citation and personally received the Naval Commendation award. He attended high school in Natchitoches, and he also attended Northwestern State University, LSU at Baton Rouge, and University of Houston. He was also formerly employed by Comet Rice Mills, Inc., Houston, Texas, and he led the Dixie Boys Baseball program of Pineville for seven years. Survivors include three sons, Bruce G. Winn of Haughton, Daniel G. Winn of Ball and Marshall W. Winn of Baton Rouge; one brother, John Winn of Merryville; one sister, Tessie Winn Vickers of Pineville; and five grandchildren.
