Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Chapel, burial followed at Memory Lawn Cemetery. Dr. Scott Shaver officiated. Mr. Wright was a resident of Natchitoches and a native of Oak Grove. He was a retired Maintenance Engineer of Nicholas Drilling Co. He was the former owner of Wright's Landing on Toledo Bend Lake, a member of the First Baptist Church-Natchitoches and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. E. LaMerle Wright of Natchitoches; one son, Kenneth Irvin Wright of Highlands, Texas; two daughters, Linda Loraine Callia and her husband, Samuel J. of Many and Judith LaMerle Dowden and her husband, James C. of Winter Park, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Sybil McLeroy of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Shirley Greer of Many; six grandchildren, Dinah Wright Dybas of Zwolle. Jennifer Wright of Highlands, Texas, Candis Dowden Powell of Winter Park, Fla., James Cullen, Jr. of DeWitt, N. Y., Angola Loraine Callia of Dallas, Texas, Julie Kristin Callia of Shreveport and one great-granddaughter, Bailey Alexandra Dybas of Zwolle. Blanchard-St. Denis Natchitoches, La.
