WROBEL The Alexandria Town Talk, May 21, 1998 NATCHITOCHES - Services for the Rev. Julian C. Wrobel will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald Nesti officiating. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis. Wrobel, 80, of Natchitoches died Tuesday, May 19, 1998, in his residence. He was a native of Podkonce, Poland and resident of Natchitoches. He was a member of Knights of Columbus in Conway, Ark. He completed his university studies in Bydgoszca, Poland in 1937. He continued his studies in philosophy in Mortain, France which he completed in 1940. He completed his theological studies in 1944 in Orly, France, made his perpetual vows in Chevilly in 1942 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1944. His missionary works included St. Augustine in Isle Brevelle. During his ministry he served as pastor at Blessed Sacrament in Shreveport and retired in 1997 after serving as pastor for 10 years at St. Anthony Parish in Natchitoches. Survivors include one sister, Margosha Wrobel of Poland.
