WILLIE VAUGHN AND LUEVENIA MARSHALL - 1895

Below is a transcript of marriage certificate for son of Robert and 
Amelia VAUGHN/VAUGHN and Luevenia MARSHALL

STATE OF LOUISIANA, PARISH OF NATCHITOCHES
Know All Men By Thee Presents That we Willie Vaughn as principal, and 
John Stephens as security, are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency 
the Govenor of the State of Louisiana, in the full sum of Five Hundred 
Dollars, for the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind 
ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severaly 
, by these presents. Dated at Natchitoches, La. this 28th day of June 
A.D., 1895 Whereas a License has been this day issued by the clerk of 
the District Court , in and for the Parish of Natchitoches, to unite in 
the Bonds of Matrimony the above bounden Willie VAUGHN and Nancy Allen. 
Now, Therefore, the condition of the above obligation is such that if 
there exist no legal impediment to this alliance, then the said 
obligation to be null and void, else to remain in full force and virtue 
in law. Then it is signed. Both men made their mark no actual 
signatures.

Willie Vaughn and Nancy Allen Witness, my hand and Seal of Office as 
Clerk of the District Court, in and for the Parish of Natchitoches, this 
28th day of June A.D., 1895 Can not make out the signature. Clerk
