Elizabeth McDonald Born: August 28, 1885 in Algiers, Orleans Parish, LA Died: September 05, 1973 in Algiers, Orleans Parish, LA Parents: Eugene McDonald and Mary Elizabeth Lyons McDonald **Elizabeth's mother "boarded" Albert Amann when Mary Ellen Spellman Amann died and his obituary lists her as his "adopted mother". I have not found adoption papers yet. After Albert died, his wife (Anna) and son (Donald) moved in with Mary Elizabeth Lyons McDonald. It is possible that both or either Eugene McDonald and Mary Elizabeth Lyons McDonald are buried here. Eugene died 1885-1890, Mary Elizabeth's date of death is unknown at this time, but she was listed in the 1920 LA Census at the age of 69. ***Mary Ellen Spellman Amann is my great-aunt, sister to my great-grandfather, John Peter Spellman. Their parents: Michael Spellman and Julia Mary Nolan Spellman.
