Sarcophagus is one solid block of marble and was processed locally by the builder. He was a hairdresser with a salon on Bourbon Street, also a successful stock trader and amateur musician specializing in whistling. He left art legacies to Delgado Museum and Charity Hospital. There was space created for his and his mother's caskets only.
