Born at Owensboro. Kentucky June 1, 1841 Died in New Orleans Aged 61 years, 6 mos. And 15 days When scarcely 24 years of age he held the rank Of Colonel, and was in command of a regiment Of cavalry at the close of the civil war. Erected by his comrades and friends 1908.
