All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http:/www.usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ************************************************ Italian American Library Volumn 7 page 98 THE STATE OF LOUISIANA CRIMINAL DISTRICT COURT FOR THE PARISH OF ORLEANS New Orleans, September 8, 1886 Personally came and appeared before me Charles Weysham, Deputy Clerk of the Criminal District Court for the Parish of Orleans Salvatore Siminari a native of Italy aged 40 years, who being duly sworn says, that he arrived in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, to wit: At the city of New York in the State of New York on the 25th day of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and 81 and since the year one thousand eight hundred and 81 has resided within the limits of the STATE OF LOUISIANA, and that his BONA FIDE intention is to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, as soon as, by the laws therof, he can be naturalized as such. And the said Salvatore Siminari further swears that he does and will forever renounce all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and more particularly to the King of Italy of whom he is a subject.
