NOTES: Some street names changed after this 1924 directory list. The changes were needed because on three occasions in the 1800s the city incorporated villages farther up the river starting from Felicity street. Many of those areas had the same numerical or famous person street names. In other instances villages applied names to streets parallel to the river that were later linked to each other as one long street. An example of this is today’s St. Charles Avenue which was St. Charles street, which fed into Nayades and at Carrollton it was First street.
