Asylum, Camp, Clio & Prytania by their uncle. 09/11/1886 Sarah Cannon 243 Baronne St No Name 2 months old The name of mother supposed to be its Ella Dale, and living in Baton Rouge. She was confined at the house of Martha Hickman a colored midwife residing at 195 Magazine. The mother left the child with midwife about the middle of July promising to return but has not done so. It was then taken to 243 Baronne street by an unknown colored man and deposited~ $6.00 for care. The day locking up the room, the child being left on the bed, unknown party absented herself and has never returned. Sarah Cannon brings the child to City Hall saying she is unable to care for it.
