			Yazoo City Miss Jany 20th 1863
Sir
	Having been authorized by the 
Secretary of Navy to construct a
War steamer in order to comply
With my instructions received from the
Government 	to wit
The completion of the vessel in the 
Shortest time practicable.  I will require
The services of Felix Borne a ship 
Carpenter in the Algiers Guards 30th 
La Regiment now at Port Hudson.
I therefore respectfully request that he
Be detailed to work on the vessel
Which is now in progress of building
At this place.  Provided however that if 
the said Felix Borne should
Leave this service for any cause except
Disability or upon the completion of
This work he will promptly report
The fact to the officer commanding

Acting Justice of the Peace in & for said County -?- 
personally appeared Thomas Weldon who makes such
